About Medlend

Dr. Henry Hamilton is an OB/GYN practicing in San Mateo, California who founded Medlend in 2000. For several years, Dr. Hamilton has traveled with his colleagues to remote areas around the globe to provide desperately needed medical care.

Medlend provides a critical component to medical missions throughout the world - technologically advanced equipment

Sick patients stand in long lines for hours awaiting medical attention. Makeshift clinics and operating rooms lack basic, essential equipment. Volunteer's efforts are often frustrated by their inability to deliver the level of medical treatment which many of their patients require. Realizing that all medical teams on missions to developing countries are faced with similar problems, Dr. Hamilton decided to establish Medlend.

Medlend's primary goals are to:

Purchase enough mobile equipment to equip six operating rooms for loan to medical missions worldwide.
Build a network of nonprofit organizations that sponsor medical missions.
